The story

Open Swarm is built around choice. Run a hosted installation, self-host a server, or use a supported local runtime on your own computer. For a local setup, check runtime requirements, install the core, create your user, configure storage, and connect a compatible model provider. Then install the applications you need.

About the demonstrationCompatibility depends on adapters, model endpoints, tools, and worker support. Hosted, self-hosted, and supported local deployments have different requirements. Current native runtime prerequisites are Linux-based; universal native Mac and Windows installer parity is not claimed.

0:10For a local setup, check runtime requirements, install the core, create your user, configure storage, and connect a compatible model provider. Then install the applications you need.

0:23A home laptop can use an API model. A larger computer can host a supported local model. Fully local processing and storage can keep the information on your machine.

0:35Identity Hub provides account launching and access review. Cloud operations use configured credentials and supported connections, with the permissions required by each task.

0:47Index developer documentation for supported workflows. AI Bake-Off can compare quality and cost across genuinely distinct model and harness lanes; unavailable lanes are not successful tests.

1:01Connect through the phone application and authorized computer-to-computer workers. The core coordinates their work, using the same platform architecture from home to a larger deployment.

1:12Choose compatible applications, APIs, models, and harnesses. Configure your world without tying the whole platform to one provider. Open Swarm.
